Thank You God

Today, upon a bus,
I saw a very beautiful woman
And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it’d do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
I thank you, you’ve been so kind.
It’s nice to talk with folks like you.
You see,” he said, “I’m blind.”
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
“Why don’t you join them dear?”
He looked ahead without a word.
I forgot, he couldn’t hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I’d go..
With eyes to see the sunset’s glow.
With ears to hear what I’d know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I’ve been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

If this poem makes you feel thankful, just forward it
to your friends. After all, it’s just a simple
reminder that we have so much to be thankful for!

Give the gift of love. It never comes back empty !

God Bless You All…

The Five Finger Prayer

This is absolutely awesome - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.

1. Your thumb is nearest to you. So begin your prayers by praying for those
closest to you.
They are the easiest to remember.
To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once
said, a “sweet duty.”

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal.
This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers.
They need support and wisdom in pointing others
in the right direction.
Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the Prime
Minister, leaders in business and industry, and
administrators.
These people shape our nation and guide public
opinion.
They need God’s guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our
weakest finger;
As any piano teacher will testify.
It should remind us to pray for those
who are weak, in trouble or in pain.
They need your prayers day and night.
You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes our little finger the smallest finger of all which is where we should
place ourselves in relation to God and others.
As the Bible says, “The least shall be
the greatest among you.” Your pinkie should remind
you to pray for yourself. By the time you have
prayed for the other four groups, your
Own needs will be put into proper perspective and
you will be able to pray for yourself more
effectively.
